  Is this the next UN/NGO?

  in the uk, from today there is a right for you to see your information held by the society.

  correct it if its wrong, and take action if its incorrect.

  it will also inform you of any "hidden agendas" that you may have suffered from.. in short the society are worried sick about this "sensitive data"(see the letters that have been leaked) legislation.. lets use to it expose the society, in short this may be the next scandel to emerge.

  Ignorant Elder Comments

  i don't know if this was discussed here before, but, what is the most ignorant comment you ever heard an elder say.

  i once had an elder say to me that my brother, who was at the time fighting in vietnam will be destroyed and killed over in 'nam because he did not accept "jehovah"!!!!

  i promptly told him to go "f" himself.

  UK have rights to see secret files

  from nov 1 the society have to disclose all files (computer and written) to anyone serving the local congregation with a 28 day notice.. the society in london has "kittens" when anybody asks - lets all hit them on nov 1!!.

  it may be interesting to see the files held on you, about you and without your knowledge or permission.

  UK Charity Status

  if you were to check out www.charity-commission.gov.uk.

  you would find if you typed in ibsa the following registration number would show: 216647. as far as we know, for we are now awaiting a response, it is illegal all over the country for charities to solicit from door to door unless they have a full identity card, something which the wtbts has flouted law on for many years.. in view of current events, surely they must be able to see the wisdom of such an approach.

  i mean its not exactly unreasonable when you really think about it, what the state is asking them to do.

  an update on the bethel moving to mk.

  there was a very high powered meeting at the holiday inn in mk on friday.

  (the holiday inn used to be the thf, rebranded a few weeks ago).

  WBTS and NGO - why are they not on the list

  above is the list of ngo's registered with the un as per the un website.. the society are not on the list, are they or arn't they ngo?

  if they are then why are they not on the list.. answers on a postcard please!!.

  London Bethel

  given the impending move from mill hill to derby or mk.

  should the society ask brothers for additional donations?.

  the conservative estimates are that they will get approx 193.5m for the site (inc bittacy hill) and the new greenfield site (whichever) wil cost less that 35m.

  New Bethel complex for UK

  as some of you may know london bethel is very close .

  to buying new land to house a new complex (45 acre site).

  it is not often that ibsa has kept a secret this long before.. any info appreciated.
